Local Area...
Saint Fridays name comes from the little church just up the road, called Ayia Paraskevi which literally means Saint Friday. We think of Fridays as the promise of the weekend and the beginning of relaxation and that’s what we hope your holiday will mean to you.
Gargarou Beach is 600m downhill from the villas and if you turn left on the sandy beach and walk 300m, you will get to the village of Peroulla which has 3 small beachside tavernas. Turning right on Gargarou beach will allow you to walk the 3km to Koroni. Arrange it with us in advance and we can take you home from any outings.
We are just outside the village of Xarokopio which has useful shops, a kafeneo, a doctor, a dentist , and a popular Sunday morning market and--- not many tourists. Driving from Kalamata, the turning to Saint Fridays is a tight one to the left as you leave Xarokopio, it looks like you are driving into someones yard, but fear not, carry on round the corners past the larger church and road starts opening up again as the sea comes into view. Keep following the twisting road until you see a sign for Saint Fridays on your right hand side. Follow the concrete track and you will see the gates and roofs of Saint Fridays Villas.
If you drive past the villas you will meet the sea 600m further on where the road ends and you know you have gone too far..
